The company BPX S.A. received an above-expectations rating in the EcoVadis audit

In today’s world, CSR activities play a very important role in the business landscape, and companies are often evaluated based on their behavior in this area. To summarize their corporate social responsibility efforts, organizations can undergo an assessment at the EcoVadis technology platform, which enables the analysis of CSR practices and business conduct. 

At the request of our two Clients, leading companies in the global FMCG industry, we conducted an EcoVadis audit at BPX S.A. to assess the level of corporate social responsibility activities. As a result, we achieved a positive outcome, exceeding our clients’ required expectations, which demonstrates our organization’s commitment to adhering to CSR principles. 

The EcoVadis audit consists of four areas: 

• Social: training, human rights compliance, occupational health and safety, working conditions, social dialogue. 

• Ethical: corruption, bribery, anti-competitive practices, responsible information management. 

• Environmental: waste, water, energy, pollution, chemicals, biodiversity. 

• Supply chain: oversight of suppliers’ social and environmental issues. 

The EcoVadis assessment score is based on international standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, ISO 26000, the CERES Roadmap, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights – Ruggie Framework. 

The EcoVadis assessment is conducted cyclically every three years. 

Corporate social responsibility topics are becoming increasingly important for many entities, and a positive review after the EcoVadis audit is both a reward and a confirmation for companies actively promoting CSR initiatives. It also helps in monitoring the CSR practices of suppliers and enables the quick selection of those suppliers who meet specific criteria.
